Just wondering what oil to use and how much to put in with a full change "including the filter". thanks

well its down to personal choice on what oil you use.
As long as its motorcycle oil and not car oil. (because of the clutch).
For england 10w/40 should be fine, but depending on how hot or cold the country is change the rating accordingly.
Personnaly I use semi-synthetic 10w/40
Mobile or silkolene are both good brands to use.
You also need to get the API rating that is correct for the bike.
On the side of the engine is a sticker, all written in japanese.
Its got 3 different measurements of oil in litres.
The one with the most L is for an engine rebuild.
the middle one is an oil and filter change (2.9L) - off the top of my head.
and the last is for just an oil change. _________________ Chris.

LOL am only just getting round to doing this, i have decided to go with castrol power 1 racing fully syn, 10w 40 hopefully should do the trick. Thanks for the help. Really enjoying the good weather riding.
